Is anybody else in NYC going to see "The Gates" in Central Park over the next two weeks?

I've always loved Christo's installations, but have never seen one live. So, I am looking forward to this.

My bus drives through Central Park and every morning I see them putting the bright orange frames up. I think its going to be amazing to see when they are done. Just the frames are creating a pretty cool "trail" around the park.

can someone explain them to me? what is it, what's it for?

i saw it in TIME OUT magazine... but i don't get it.
