I have had barely any time to come to this board because of all the work involved these past few months. As of now, I was accepted to Emerson College and I will find out about the others in April. How about everyone else?

From: Atlanta | posted: 12/28/2004 at 10:32:52 PM ET ugh, I was deferred from Columbia earlier this month. I was really upset, but I guess it's not as bad as being rejected. I was really hoping to have some sense of closure for the rest of the year, but now I have to finish all my other apps (my procrastination has really caught up with me and I have to write three essays in the next three days) and I don't find out until April about any of them. Eeek, I totally sympathize with your feelings of stress. And good luck to all the other seniors!

And so far...that's the only place I've applied. I like to procrastinate.
This college thing is freaking me out a bit...I'm not old enough to make these kinds of decisions!
Good luck to everyone!

From: Long Island, New York & Boston, | posted: 12/30/2004 at 10:16:21 PM ET I would really like to attend Boston University or Fordham University, but I won't find out until April. The major problem is finances. These colleges are insanely priced and its difficult to find scholarships.
Aside from this, the major thing I'm worried about now that my apps are done is the dreaded interview and portfolio review. I'm majoring in theatre but not as an actor, as a director/stage manager. Does anyone have advice as to what to include in my portfolio?
