There seems to be some kind of Broadway Tribute on PBS at the moment......They're currently playing the GYPSY overture...They just finished THE MUSIC MAN...so maybe Bernadette will be on, or maybe some other cast members?

I'm sure it will be on again......PBS ALWAYS plays their specials over again. I looked in my TV guide and i guess it must not be right....All I know is that the Boston Pops were the back up orchestra.... Martin Short was the last "act", the only thing from GYPSY was the overture, which was so sad to hear!!!! Rebecca Luker and Cast of TMM(thats the music man, not thoroughly modern millie) sang...76 trombones, goodnight my someone, my white knight (there may have been more but thats where i picked up on it)........So if you're interested...keep your tvs on PBS.

Boston Symphony Pops (as well the NY Pops) only plays "popular" music from Broadway, etc. This is the website for their schedule. It was on again last night. http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/pops/schedule/index.html

So glad to see they've already scheduled the Kristin Chenoweth broadcast. I'm really looking forward to that one.

The recent Candide concert (with Chenoweth and Patti Lupone) as well as the recent Audra McDonald concert were also recorded for PBS.

I'm sure this isn't news to anyone here-just a reminder.
