The companion volume is available here (for pre-order) on Amazon. Ooh,it's a bit pricey-maybe for the holidays,if you can wait that long? But it sounds fantastic. The companion books I have (to PBS documentaries) are excellent in their own right.

"A companion five-CD box set, a dynamic Web site and a variety of educational outreach activities are also in development."

Wow! They are really going to town with this one. Good. PBS also releases many of its documentaries on DVD/VHS,so I'm sure that's in the works as well.
