I was just watching a repeat of Law and Order:SVU... Anyway, it guest starred Bebe Neuwirth in the episode and I was wondering if anyone else thought Bernadette would be a great guest star on either SVU or the regular Law & Order? (I'm leaving out the Criminal Intent one because that guy Vincent D'Onofrio creeps me out!) Considering there have been TONS of broadway actors and actresses on these shows, I wonder if she has even been approached for one of the shows...Just a late night, rambling thought.

Now this is really weird-I was also watching that episode--did you notice Peter Marks from Annie Get Your Gun as the sleazy father of the victim?

In the last few days I've seen Patti Lupone, Dennis O'Hare, and John Dossett on one or another L&O.

I'm not sure what I'd like to see Bernadette as on this show-they seem to divide into victim, victim's parents/other assorted relatives, bad guy/gal, and lawyer. I hate seeing Bernadette as victim, although she might make an interesting lawyer; and of course no way could I tolerate her as the bad gal.

Vincent D'Onofrio--scarier than any of the villians--what a weird but, to me, fascinating character.

Hey, i saw all of those episodes of L&O or L&O:SVU too! I also saw one with Elaine Stritch. But I do agree that Bernadette would probably be coolio on an episode of that show and it's hard to believe she hasn't because almost every actor ever has been on a episode at one point or another (this is an exaggeration of course). but it woul dbe fun to see her anyways.

damn, she's cool.

You know that if she went on the show she would be the secretly crazy/ terminally messed up killer because the big stars have to have their super dramatic moment when their reveal their hidden insanity. It happens every episode.

There should be yet another spin-off episode in which Bernadette is the DA and there are only Broadway crimes.

Oh, Jean, my dear Jean. Bernadette is at her best when she plays the bitch. I would love to see her play some sort of sadistic killer ... with that sweet smile of course.

I was hoping someone else would love to see her play someone mean and nasty! I think it would be great to see her in a role like that!!! Not sure if I'd want her to be a cold hard killer, but definately a bad girl! I think she would do an incredible job no matter what role she might play.

"jane krakowski and norbert leo butz have both also been on law and order episodes..."

And I haven't seen Norbert Leo Butz"s episode, but Jane Krakowski had an awesome big-celebrity-gone-crazy-on-law-and-order moment

that was me who posted anonymously from another computer, but the norbert leo butz episode had him breaking into hotel rooms and stealing stuff just to prove how easy it was, but then he ended up uh... doing innappropriate things in the tenant's undergarments. he had a really small part but it was funny to see him.

damn, she's cool.
