Saw this over the Thanksgiving holidays. None of us knew very much about Johnny Cash, but we thought the movie was excellent. Joaquin Phoenix does an great job, and Reese Witherspoon is excellent as well. They did their own singing, and they are quite good.

Forgive, entered without adding.
I loved this movie. I just seen the dvd. I grew up all my life with Johnny Cash. My Father and Mother loved him. Dad often spoke about him. BUT to see the life of this GREAT man and The amazing lovely June Carter-Cash put on the screen before me. I am left totaly speechless. I have a more deeper understanding of the songs I grew up with as well.WOW.
The movie just says it all.
