I was 8 years old and my family decided we would watch a musical airing on PBS that night. It was into yhe woods. Even as a young girls who loved the princess in the pretty dress i fell head over heels in love with her. I was only 8, but i GOT her, she was so not condescending. everyone can enjoy her on some level. Well, I rented 'Sunday in the Park with George' and I've since watched it over a hundred times. I'm so in love with Dot. Her choice and elivery of the music has a profound effect on me, it's on another level. I saw her in AGYG when I got to go to New York. I went agan two days later. Needless to say I waited at the stage door and the autograph hangs on my wall. She has such magnetism! Even on film, you just can't take your eyes off her.
Well, I'm going to the minniapolis concert next month and I hope to get a picture! I'm very exited. I hope I don't burst into tears while she's singing.

It's really difficult to sit through one of her concerts and at least not get teary-eyed. A lot of it has to do with how much emotion she can put in to the words. Of course, you can't forget about Sondheim either, since he came up with the words.

Hey if you get a picture, send it over to us so we can post it in the photoalbum!

I first fell in love with Bernadette after I saw her in "Song and Dance" on the Fourth of July, just after she won her first Tony. She was incredible! It was the first time I stayed outside the stage door to get her autograph, and I got to pet her cat, too! What a thrill! Since then, I have seen her whenever possible, even in the awful "Goodbye Girl" even though she and Martin Short were both wonderful in it. I am dying to see her do "Gypsy" as Rose--she will even top Dame Ethel (Merman, that is.)

I have never felt like this...
