Ok, I'm not exaclty "in the loop" when it comes to all this broadway stuff... I love plays and musicals and Bernadette, but I don't know a lot of the other actors... so my question is, everytime I try to download a song that says it's from Bernadette, when it's done it says someone else's name. Like I downloaded "Together Wherever We Go" and it said "Merman, Ethel and Sandra Church" when it was done. Who are these people?????

You've downloaded the original cast recording of GYPSY, which starred Ethel Merman et.al. What you want is the 2003 REVIVAL cast recording of GYPSY, not the original cast, or the Angela Landbury cast, or the Bette Midler TV movie cast. The easiest route, so as not to download the wrong songs, is to type "Bernadette Peters" into your download search engine, and see what songs from GYPSY pop up. Sometimes people type in the wrong performer's name and you end up downloading the wrong song anyway, but then again, this is the trial and error of the internet, and you'll know whether it's Bernadette when you play it.

There are songs on the net like "On My Own," for example, that are, for whatever reason, listed under Bernadette Peters when they're not sung by Bernadette. This particular song is a track from the Les Mis soundtrack and not Bernadette at all.

So just be patient. Or you can always go and buy the CD, which is the preferred route.

Q: Any funny incidents or accidents with Kristin (Chenoweth)?

Norbert Leo Butz: I have this Errol Flynn moment where I swing in on this rope. One night in San Francisco, I let go of the rope and the rest of the actors started cracking up. I turned around and the rope had literally tied around Kristin's head and got caught on her crown and was pulling her off stage. It was like watching Barbie get hung.

Yes I know buying the CD would be better, but I wanted to hear some of it first to make sure I liked it before I bought it, since I hadn't heard any of the songs. When I got "Together Wherever We Go" I didn't think it sounded like Bernadette, and then I noticed the name and realized it wasn't.

Trust me, I didn't get caught by the "On Your Own" thing, I'm a "Les Miz" junkie (lol) and I know BP was never in it. Sadly, I have never had the chance to see Les Miz on Broadway either (had to go see Amedeus next store, but when I was in line I took a picture of the theatre that was showing Les Miz.....)

But I digress...

Thanks for you're help! I doubt know if my city's lone CD store will have the Gyspy CD though.

You can buy the CD off of Amazon.com if your CD store doesn't have it. Good luck!

Thanks for the info, but I don't think I'll be ordering it from Amazon, since I'll have to pay in American money plus pay the out of country shipping costs! I think I can live without it if I can't find it. They don't have it on amazon.ca, though they do have BP's newest one. I still haven't checked at the CD store anyways though.
