Is the movie good? I really want to see Bernadette in it, but is it worth the money to buy the DVD?

I really liked the story. I think I would have liked it even if Bernadette wasn't in it... she's an added bonus. So I think it's definitely worth getting; though I still haven't bought it. lol

And just so everyone knows, this Tuesday 11/11/03, there will be a special gift set DVD. It includes Rodgers and Hammerstein's Cinderella, The New Annie, and The Music Man (all three were the recent tv adaptations). I believe it's $45.00
I'm glad I didn't get the Cinderella DVD now, this way I can get all three movies.

It's not bad- not much in the way of plot, but fairly decent character/family stuff. And, as a fan, its interesting to me to see her play a somewhat "normal" character--quite different from her frequently over-the-top characters. (I think I said after I saw it that Bernadette, as usual, rises above her material-or, if I didn't say it, I should have!)

If you don't want to buy the DVD, Blockbuster has it for rent in both VHS and DVD.

LOL. CINDERELLA is one of only two movies of Bernadette's that I have utterly despised. (As in, I just can't watch them again because I think they're so awful.) IMPROMPTU is the other one. IT RUNS IN THE FAMILY is really quite wonderful, though. I was very happy Bernadette was a part of that one.

However... two Chenoweth DVDs in the package? Ugh. That is not fair. How am I supposed to resist that?

***************
Q: Any funny incidents or accidents with Kristin (Chenoweth)?

Norbert Leo Butz: I have this Errol Flynn moment where I swing in on this rope. One night in San Francisco, I let go of the rope and the rest of the actors started cracking up. I turned around and the rope had literally tied around Kristin's head and got caught on her crown and was pulling her off stage. It was like watching Barbie get hung.

Well Jaime, see if you can find "The Music Man" and "Annie" seperately...I'm sure you can. If they're only $15 each (I'm not sure if they are), then you don't need to get the package that includes Cinderella.

In response to Lisa's comment:
I don't have the Cinderella DVD, but I was told that there is a special feature which includes Bernadette. I don't believe there is commentary; but she talks about making the movie or something.

Try Amazon or half.com for used copies.

Overstock's website might have some discounted copies as well.
