Parade: 7/14...
There's a question about BP on the page of Parade where they ask questions about the celebs...and here's the question (there's also a pic of her too)
Q. Bernadette Peters looked stunning when she hosted last month's Tony Awards. Who designed her gowns?- Al Fariello, New York, N.Y.
A. Size-2 Broadway baby Peters, 54, who plans to return to the stage next year in a revival of Gypsy, wore four outfits: a red silk number by Valentino, a chartreuse taffeta gown by British designer Vivienne Westwood, a slinky black knockout by Badgley Mischka and a made-to-order purple gown by Zac Posen, a young American.
(In the pic, it's showing her wearing the Valentino one..and the caption says: Peters: Sexy in Valentino.)

I think Bernadette fluctuates sizes and isn't always a 2. I'd say anywhere from a 2 (during thin periods) up to a 6(thin but not too thin)

I really don't think she fluctuates that much! Going up 2 sizes is a lot. About 20 pounds. She is also much tinier in person. If you have seen her up close you realize she is much smaller than she appears on TV or even on stage. I doubt she even fluctuates a size at all. You can gain a small amount of weight and still stay in the same clothes. They just fit differently. :-) Also realize that if BP says she is a size two that is probably the size she wears in the clothes that she buys. A size 2 in expensive clothes is larger than a size 2 in clothes you buy at your local department store. The more expensive the item, generally the smaller the size you will take.

I met Bernadette after her Radio City Music Hall Concert (6/19/02)and she can definately be a size 2. She is only 5'1" and petite. I don't think she fluctuates to a size 6. From what I've read about her, she eats very healthy without any red meat and excersises on a regular basis.

I'm 5'2" and super skinny. I don't have any of Bernadette's curves. And I'ma size 2. Yeah, I've seen her in person MANY times, as I used to work at the agency that represents her, and trust me, she's not a size 2. Don't take this as an insult. I love Bernadette and think she's gorgeous, but I think it's silly of her publicist to be saying she's a 2, when sticks like Sarah Jessica Parker and Courtney Cox are 2s. Bernadette is much more filled out than they are!

this has to be american sizes. if you were a 2 in british sizing you'd be dead. a very thin person is like a 6 here.

Does it really matter? Personally, all I care about is Bernadette for the person that she is, not how big she is, and I know thats not how you all feel I am jus saying it to hear myself talk, lol. I believe that she is a size 2, but its really not a big deal, and calista flockhart...all I can say is ew! Peace to all!
I chose and my world was shaken, so what? The choice may have been mistaken...the choosing was not, you have to move on......

Exactly. Thanks, Jenny. Furthermoe, Bernadette has lots of young fans who are very impressionable. I wouldn't want to see a teenage girl who idolizes BP to think she has to diet herself down to a 2 when BP is actually a healthy weight. Know what I'm saying?

hey...are you saying that I'm unhealthy? I can see MY ribs! Okay, i'm just talking to hear myself speak, too! We like to do that around here, don't we? Personally, I don't give a, er, hoot about what size BP is or basically nething about her! But you people have good conversations so I signed up to the website....
