WOW! I just read on Playbill that the attendance for Bernadette's week off was 45.2 percent of capacity. I heard that the weekday evening performances were really, really bad--with hundreds of empty seats. Nevertheless, I am sure that Maureen Moore gave great performances all week. It's not an enviable position to be in, but I am sure she gave it her all.

Well, that's to be expected. It seems as though most people go to see Gypsy because Bernadette brings such a new twist to an old character. Still, I'm surprised there were HUNDREDS of empty seats. That must be weird acting to an audience full of empty chairs! I mean, what's the point?!

Tina Turner once said "Wether there are 100 people or 100,000 people out there, you should still give them the same show." Hundreds of seats were empty, fine. What about the hundreds of people that WERE there?
