Did Bernadette walk down the asile in the theater before she entered the stage on the side in the first scene in Gypsy?

Yes, Bernadette or "Mama" shall I say, enters from the right aisle, as she screams out "Sing Out Louise!". She then procceeds to walk down the aisle, past everyone, up the 3 or 4 steps leading up to the stage......
