A few of us took our friend out for her birthday last night and we decided to get coffee and ice cream afterwards. On the way to the ice cream shop, we passed the cutest little gift shop and went in. Now, I live in Alabama, so unless I'm going in a video store/cd store or something like that, I never expect to see ANYTHING to do with Bernadette Peters. We were browsing the cute little boutique when my friend screams and starts pointing at a purse. I turn to look and it was a purse made out of old adds and newspaper clippings. Oddly enough it had the old Gypsy marquis with Bernadette's name saying "Momma's gonna show it to you!" and "Opening Thursday night!" I was so excited! It was $40 and i didn't have the money. Luckily my best friend was great enough to put up the cash until I can pay her back. (the girls in the store didn't really understand why we were so excited, but you know)

I live in Taiwan.It's very hard to get anything about Bernadette Pters here,too.In most of CD shops, you only can find The Phanton of the Opera and Sarah Brightman's albums,because Sarah came to Taiwan twice.And the cover of the albums print in Chinese"Sarah Brightman is the only Queen of Musical".(If Sarah is the only Queen of Musical, what is Ethel Merman's title?And what is Bernadette's?I think BP is the best actress of musical history.So, I always argue to Sarah's fans.Most of them have never seen any musical,and don't know anybody else.)Less people know Bernadette.So our Taiwan BP fan club only has ten members,but already five persons saw Gypsy.
I wish Bernadette can visit Taiwan one day.
I saw Gypsy in later April.And I'll go to New York again and see Gypsy in October.

Awesome! I argue to Sarah Brightman fans as well. I like her but I still think Bernadette is better!

Yay! Another Alabama person! Which city do you live in? I'm from Birmingham,currently living in Tuscaloosa. I go to the University of Alabama. The boutique is in Tuscaloosa but I can't remember the name to save my life! As soon as I find out, I'll post it.

I live in Birmingham too. Pinsonish. . .I go to the University of Montevallo. I love Broadway, but especially Bernadette. I look forward to hearing the name of the boutique.

Are you kidding? Your friend was ACTUALLY dumb enough to buy that for you? I mean I'm a Bernadette fan, but it's outrageous someone would even THINK about buying a purse with her name on it for such an amount!
