I caught up with an old theatre buff friend last night (in Sydney, Australia) and she told me that Bernadette is having problems with her voice - that she has nodules on her vocal cords. Is this true? This would be a tragedy.

It's nothng more than a mean rumor, as far as I know.

Yes I'm sure it's a rumor. Every time I've heard and seen her lately she's sounded and looked wonderful

Is it possible that your friend just mixed up names? Julie Andrews had nodules removed from her throat (which ruined her voice) but Bernadette, thankfully, has not had any problems to date.

My friend definitely said it was Bernadette. I don't know where the friend heard it but I have set her straight!
