i own a copy of this I bought of e-bay, the picture quality isn't too great, but the sound is near perfect. I have know idea when, how or why it was filmed, help me! Also, whats your opinion, will b.p come to the west end for gypsy too? and will smack in hte kisser/a few good years show in the uk?

George M was a prime-time network special which I think was first broadcast in Dec 1970 so I think it was one of her earlier TV appearances. It's interesting to watch-all kinds of great people in the cast like Blythe Danner,Lewis J Stadlen, etc. It's kind of creepy the way that Jack Cassidy keeps chain-smoking throughout since he later accidentally burned himself to death with a cigarette. Anyway, I have no idea about Gypsy in London. It seems like it was talked about for years and then just sort of dropped.

Jack Cassidy played George and Josie Cohen's father. As for his death - he fell asleep smoking in bed and his apartment caught on fire and he was unable to get out.
