Steve Martin was at last night's performance of Gypsy with a few friends. He seemed to really enjoy the show, laughed a lot and was one of the first to stand for Bernadette's ovation. And afterwards he went backstage. Glad to see they appear to have a decent relationship.  I always kind of wondered.

Well, I suppose 25 years later....
It's great that they're still friends. Sometimes, it's more plausible to be friends than it is to be in a relationship. As a matter of fact, after years go by, some people realize that they enjoy the friendship much more than they enjoyed the romantic relationship. Some things are just meant to be. 
But wow... Steve Martin! Woo. Gypsy really is the hot celeb ticket these days. Did anyone around you recognize him? I remember someone saying they were there the night Jack Nicholson was there, and people started clapping for him.

I actually was not in attendance. A friend of mine went and told me he was there and all the details. She didn't mention whether people around him recognized him.
