When you are in the thread listing for a forum, you should see a "new" icon next to threads that have new posts since you read it last. When you click on the new icon, it will take you to the first unread post in that thread.
I think it works, but let me know if it doesn't.

very handy! I can't tell you how many times i've clicked on a thread to find that the last person that posted was me! Thought, it doesn't seem to be working for me.

I like the new feature, but it only works for me the first time I go to the page with the listing of threads. Maybe my computer just doesn't like me.

No, u'r not the only one. I've noticed now (b4 this didn't happen to mine)...but when I click on 1 thread w/ the 'new' on it, then when I click on "General Chit-Chat" (NOT 'BACK'), the icons are gone. But if I hit 'back' they are still there, only the one that I previously viewed still has the 'new' icon on it.
This has happened to me recently like yesterday I think?, not when it first came out a few days ago

Thanks for all the feedback on how the "new button" works differently for each of you.
I'm going to analyze your comments and see if I can make it work better based on how you read the boards.
