I was not a fan of the "I'll be your baby tonight" CD at first. But all of the sudden I listened to it 3 days ago and now I am stuck on it.
"Cupid" is my new favorite song. I really think that if they played it on 106.7 Light Fm that everyone would fall in love with this song.
Anyone else totally enthralled by this song?

Fav. BP CD: I'll Be Your Baby Tonight Fav. BP Song: Dublin Lady
| posted: 8/1/2003 at 3:43:44 PM ET I do like that CD and it did take some time for it to grow on me. I think because it is so different that it just sounds strange to hear Bernadette singing those types of songs at first. But if you listen to it enough times to kind of get over your preconceptions, you start to appreciate her vast emotional and vocal range. Some of those blusey songs are wonderful. I often think to myself (I hope no one is offended by this upcoming comment): She has an awful lot of soul for a little white girl.

The only one I know of (that I believe is on there) if 'Faithless Love,' which she sang in concert. And I do like that song very much. Anyone have the lyrics for Cupid? I don't know that one.

It's not completely a Broadway album but it's so wonderful to hear her voice on the songs she did. They're excellent! She even covers Billy Joel's She's Got A Way changing the she to he. Here's a songlist, and if you go to amazon.com you can listen to a few of the songs on the album and buy it. Bernadette's voice is amazing no matter what she sings
1. I Feel Like I'm Not Out Of Bed Yet
2. I Make Him Feel Good
3. Running On Faith
4. No One Is Alone
5. What's The Use Of Wond'rin?
6. Cupid
7. I'll Be Your Baby Tonight
8. Blackbird
9. Hills Of Shiloh/ Faithless Love
10. Woman Be Wise
11. He's Got A Way
12. Some Other Time

| posted: 8/2/2003 at 1:48:52 AM ET Wouldn't it be nice to hear Bernadette do a duet with Billy Joel....or maybe they can just take the two versions of the song and mix it to sound like a duet.
You could request Cupid by calling a radio station, but chances are they will play the original version and not even have Bernadette's version in the studio.
