Yay! This is great news, not only for Bernadette and the rest of the wonderful class (you go, Bliss!) but for theatre in general. With the economy being as bad as it is, it's so nice to see plays and musicals doing this well in the off-season.

Looks like Gypsy has broken the record yet again...its weekly gross for June 23-29 was $903,525 with a 99.6% attendance rate! How awesome is that?!

That's fantastic and they finally broke $900,000! Looks like there were only 43 unsold seats last week and the average ticket price was the highest yet.

So far Gypsy is doing much better business than the revival of ITW. ITW may have won the Tony for best revival and had a "name" in Vanessa Williams, but its highest percentage was about 84% at a smaller theater.

Anyone have an idea of what figure is the best to use to compare how shows are doing? Percentage? Avg. ticket price?

we are all very moved by all of this...there is nothing better than a full house of people who WANT to be there and really, every night is a joy...for all of us...thanks again to all of you
