i'm watching bobby's girl and the tank top that Bernadette is wearing in one of the scenes (the one where she hands bobbie the alternative medicine book) is the same one that she wore the last time i saw gypsy! if you want proof, go back to about page 10 on this site and look up the picture with tony bennet and daughter. so question: did she use her own clothes for the movie?

I don't think she used her own clothes but I do think she took some of the wardrobe with her when the shoot was over.
The outfit sans the coat she wears to the funeral of Alan's parents is the same outfit she wore to co-host Regis once. See link:

That used to be the joke. For a couple of years when she was doing AGYG she always seemed to get a new summer outfit which she wore everywhere. Regis, Broadway Barks, etc. It was funny. Like all of us, she gets a new outfit she really likes and tried to wear it as much as possible.

I am glad that Bernadette wears the same outfits more than once. She seems like a sensible person to me. The last time I met her after a concert she was wearing a black jacket (off the shoulders) and her bright red bra straps were exposed. Then, to my surprise, she was wearing that same combo in Entertainment Weekly when they did the preview for Gypsy (in that picture she was also wearing a big hat). I think the picture I had taken with BP is in the photo section of this website.

When I saw AGYG, I got my picture taken with her at the stage door and she was wearing this white lace-y shirt. The next year when she performed in Galveston, I got another picture with her, and it wasn't until the next week when I got them developed that I realized she was wearing the same shirt. LOL.
Oh, slightly OT, I am on page 517 of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. It's really really good!!

Crick - I've been reading all night and day. I grew up on those books and am insanely in love with them. Lol - I went with my other Potter Geek Pals to the Harry Potter Midnight party at Barnes & Noble. I think I need to get a life...

Megan - don't feel bad - I was at Borders last night from about 9.30 to midnight. At least I wasn't the only twentysomething without a child in tow. But I didn't wear a costume or anything. Those books are great - I've always loved to read but these are just so great no matter how old (or un-young) you are. I resisted reading them at first because of the "children's book" stigma, but I obviously got over that.
And I just finished the book...WOW. I hope it's not another 3 years til the next one...

I just don't read them because I never sit still long enough to read a book. I usually start books (novels even), get half way through and then don't finish them.
I love the Harry Potter movies though.
Now, back to the original topic...I love the fact that Bernadette wears her clothes more than once. It shows that she is just like everyone else. Remember the little black jacket she wore in the I Love NY Theatre commercial? She wore that on almost every talk show when promoting her R&H cd (because it was right around the same time). Obviosuly she wore different outfits with it, but I loved that jacket and the fact that she wasn't against wearing it a lot.
