In the lastest "Diva Talk" on Playbill.com, it says that the cast of Gypsy will be in the studio on June 22 and 23 to record the music to the show, and the cd should be availiable (sp?) in August.

How exciting though...as of this Tuesday Gypsy will have been recorded! 
I can wait until August because the week of July 22, I'll be very busy. LOL sorry, just being a little selfish.

I'm happy that Jay David Saks will be the producer (he also did ITW and Mendes cabaret). I think he's one of the best producers of musical cast recordings right now. I am sort of suprised though, cuz I thought he was exclusively an RCA Victor guy.

My sentiments exactly "August??? Oh Noooooooo!!!!". I know, I know, it'll be worth the wait AND I'll be able to get it right before I see her again over Labor Day weekend. But it is hard to be patient.

Maybe to ease our suffering, Amazon will do what they did with Peters' R&H CD and make a full stream version available before the actual release for those who order the CD online in advance.

LOL wow! Did you see that pic of Bernadette and Sam at the recording session? I didn't know he was that much taller than her. She barely reaches his shoulder.

I like her haircut; it's very flattering to the shape of her face.
I wonder what Bernadette was singing during that first pick when she's making that face?
