Please do ask her. I have had this discussion with others who thought she was perfect for the role. I thought she was closer to 23 years old?
I always thought she looked the part, and I knew she could act...but when I heard her sing on the Caroline Rhea Show with Chip Zien, she blew me away. That's when I thought she would be the perfect Gypsy.

What are you talking about? I thought Tammy was flawless. She has a great voice, and she's a wonderful actress. She was the perfect Louise/Gypsy.

LOL I was just watching Life With Judy Garland: Me and My Shadows (this thread made me want to watch it again), and I just cannot get over how well Tammy acted in that movie. I would love to see her get some big movie and/or television roles after her run in Gypsy (which hopefully will not be for a while).

i, myself have not made up my mind about Tammy yet. i think she is good, but not SUPERB. she did wow me a few times during the performances, but not throughout the entire thing, however, she is no where near "horrendous". she should be commended for what she has done with the role, although i personally believe that there is more there that goes deeper than she's playing it. perhaps if she make bigger choices and "raise the stakes" a little more, the performance would be wonderful as the Judy movie was.

anne hathaway is an interesting choice. i've never thought of her before, but please do let know, anonymous, if she considered the part.
