Here's a quote from a NY Times article about Gypsy sales after the Tonys.

"Gypsy," which was represented by Bernadette Peters singing "Rose's Turn" (very well, many people thought), doubled its normal daily take, bringing in close to $200,000 on Monday, despite losing in every Tony category in which it was nominated.
