The Talkin Broadway site had a post about Peters Radio City concert that said the evening would include 5 additional songs. Anyone know if this means the concert will only have 18 songs? I think she did 27 or 28 at Carnegie Hall.

No she didn't do that many at Carnegie Hall. There may only be about 18 songs at Radio City. If the songs are about 4 minutes long that is 72 minutes of singing time. Add intermission and all her talking and that is a full evening. No one could do more than that.

She generally has 3 concert programs... a 60 min., 70. min and 90.min program. She switches on an off with them. The Radio City concert is not an ordinary concert but I'm sure it'll be packed full of songs =)(probably somewhere around 1 hr and 1/2 -2 hrs.) And wait til you all hear which songs she'll be singing( that are not on her CD)

Cindy =)

Good question. I was just thinking about that myself. The San Francisco concert last Thanksgiving was ~ 20 numbers and ran over 2 hours with a short intermission.

Obviously, she won't just run straight through the CD which has 13 tracks.

Here is what I think might happen (Please feel free to express your thoughts too).

She will open with a 'It's A Grand Night for Singing', a perfect opening number for this concert. She will do 'It Might As Well Be Spring', 'Mister Snow', 'Some Enchanted Evening', & 'There Is Nothing Like A Dame', for sure since they have all been performed before.

Being the totally fearless performer that she is, the coup de grace for me will be the performance of 'If I Loved You', hitting that High F, not once but twice. I would expect this number to be placed fairly early on with the voice warmed up, but not worn out.

I have no idea what other CD selections may be picked, but have a feeling that Mr. Sondheim may be in the audience and she may fill out the show with some of his compositions.

Well however it turns out, I am sure it will be an unforgettable evening

Jim.

She actually sang 25 songs at Carnegie Hall(26 if you count Hello Little Girl and Any Moment separately since they're fairly complete). Besides what's on the CD, that evening she sang:
We're in the Money/ Pennies from Heaven
If You Were the Only Boy in the World
Unexpected Song
I Never thought I'd Break
Faithless Love
They Ask Me Why I Believe In You
Later
With So Little to be Sure of
Children Will Listen
Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas

Since she did that many at Carnegie (a spectacular evening) and her SF concert went about 2:20, I figured Radio City would be somewhere in that ballpark.
