| posted: 6/11/2003 at 4:03:27 PM ET As you all know by now I went to the Monday performance of Gypsy. I was in the SRO section. Well during "Wherever we go ...", I noticed something funny. When Bernadette sat down on the trunk between Herbie and Louise, she must have sat back farther than she usually does because her feet were several inches off the ground. I started to laugh and pointed it out to my friends that her feet were not even touching the ground. I'm assuming she usually sits more toward the front of the trunk because I have never noticed her feet dangling before and she just kind of had to go with it. As she was getting ready to stand up, she just started to inch herself forward until one of her feet touched the ground.
I guess she just appears so larger than life on stage that I momentarily forget how incredibly tiny she is. But dangling feet making her look like about a five year old brought me back to the reality of her size.

Tammy and John threw eachother a look and looked as if they were going to start laughing. The strippers were especially funny Monday night too. I love how Kate says "ballet" and "disparaging" differently now. And Julie's facial expressions as she plays a drunk LOL

| posted: 6/11/2003 at 4:19:24 PM ET Oh yes, I forgot about the plates. And when she sang, When I start to dance, and then they both join in, John Dossett could not get in step and started laughing which made Bernadette start to laugh as well. And during Dainty June's audition, there was something funny going on in the wings because Bernadette and John were talking during the entire scene instead of "watching" the kids audition. John finally pushed Bernadette in front of him so she could get back in place and watch the kids before she had to come in to pick up the hat.
I must admit I like it better when Kate says, "Disasparagus" but she is always funny.

She's a "normal" kind of short -- about 5'2", and certainly not scrawny. There's a big difference between Bernadette and say, Sarah Jessica Parker. Bernadette's not nearly as little and skinny, and way better looking, in my humble opinion.

| posted: 6/11/2003 at 4:36:20 PM ET Well I have my doubts that she is truly 5'2" and in fact a recent magazine article listed her as 5'1". But yes she is in no way skinny. She is just thin and fit which is such a nice change from the Calista Flockarts of the world. But there is no way you can convince me that the word tiny does not fit her to a tee.

Its not Bernadette's stature that makes her so talented.

| posted: 6/11/2003 at 7:50:39 PM ET Oh definitely not a Calista or Lara Flynn Boyle. Thank goodness. It's just that Bernadette is such a little person and so damn cute at times it causes me to giggle. The picture I use for my postings just completely personifies that for me. And the feet dangling off the floor just made me laugh. But that's why we all love her. And I assure you Calista and Lara will not look nearly as good when they are 55 as Bernadette does now because they are not being kind to their bodies.

And I know Kevin has met Bernadette several times so if he has mentioned the site to her, she might have to decided to stop by but I'm sure it is rare.

John finally pushed Bernadette in front of him so she could get back in place and watch the kids before she had to come in to pick up the hat. LOL thank God he was at least paying attention. It must be so much fun to be in a great show and be able to have fun with your role and your co-stars.
