Anyone know if this new cast has recorded a soundrack CD? I can't believe they wouldn't... Any info greatly appreciated...

Just to be picky about it, its not called a soundtrack but instead a cast recording. Soundtracks are only for movies. Moving past my anal retentiveness and on to your question. They are scheduled to record it on June 22nd and it should be released about one month later. It's going to be a happy July!

If you mean record label, it is Angel Records but the actual producer I don't think has been named.

Just a question, but why is Soundtrack not acceptable?

Because movies have soundtracks and musicals have cast recordings... There is a big difference and movies and shows are not the same so they cannotbe compared to the same thing... A soundtrack doesn't really present the movie but a cast recording makes up 50% or more of the show sometimes...

I think it stems from the fact that the sound is literally put on its own "track" in a film so it is quite literally the soundtrack.
