Hi everyone!

You all are probably going to think I'm crazy for posting this observation, but I couldn't resist: did anyone think that Bernadette's eyes looked different last night? Almost catlike? I don't know if it's just me, but watching the video once or twice (Or three or four ) I noticed that the overall shape of her eyes seemed different. Please tell me SOMEONE else noticed this!!!

Hi

U'r not alone...I thought I was crazy for observing stuff like that too!

But I thought her overall facial appearance looked different...I was randomly watching old interviews and stuff that I taped of her, and she just looks different now than from b4...

::shrugs shoulders:: however I don't really know what that could be from.

Take care,
Stacy

I noticed the same thing. I think it must have been a combination of her make-up and I think her eyebrows were arched higher- perhaps she just got them shaped for the Tony's.

I felt a lot of the performers looked strange last night. I chalked it up to the fact that they were wearing heavy stage make-up made for distance viewing not TV close-ups. They still had to do that type of make-up so they looked right to all those at Radio City but it was just too intense for TV.

i noticed that too. i think it was a lot to do with makeup. they drew out the line pretty far, and i hate to say this, but i think a little of it was that her face is changing and thinning out slightly as she gets older. not that she looks old AT ALL! but she is older than she was years ago (stating the obvious there, i know ). she still looks younger, however, than most people ever hope to!

I think it was just so different because she had her makeup done for the red carpet, then they packed more makeup over it for her performance. I still think she looked stunning. And did anyone else notice the glitter? I noticed it for the red carpet interview, and when she was performing. I thought it was very pretty....then again, I love glitter (LOL right Linnie?)

Wow...I can not believe I am responding to a post about her eyes LOL But anyways, I sorta doubt that they put her stage make-up right over her regular make up she wore on the red carpet...she did have pleanty of time to prepare for her performance. I think a lot of it has to do with the angle of her wig and that MAC cosmetics tends to be very bold...which is why so many celebrities where it and is most likely why they use it for GYPSY. She definitely wears a lot more eye liner and mascara than she normally does to accentuate her features and expressions more on stage. So seeing this same effect on TV just made it stand out a lot more.

Bwaybaby i cant believe im responding to this either! LOL! Did anyone else think her eyes looked puffy underneath?? They didnt look so later on so perhaps it was just the makeup. Her eyes looked especially intense on the last line of the song as she was holding that last note.
Someone over on ATC posted about how painful it is just watching her sing b/c her throat muscles seem to be straining so much. I credit this with the fact that she was pouring so much emotion into the song. Plus when she is talking it is the same thing although not to the same degree.

Maybe she just has really buff neck muscles.

Just kidding.
