I was watching Alistair McGowans Big Impression and he does loads of impression of famous people. And I was just wondering, has Bernadette ever had someone do an impression of her?

Well, as I said in another post, they do impersonate Bernadette in the off-Broadway show, "Forbidden Broadway." I don't know if other people impersonate her in like Atlantic City acts or anything?

Andrea Martin impersonated Bernadette. It may have been on Saturday Night Live.

I didn't really think that spoof they did of Bernadette at the TONY'S was all that funny...I mean they could have done so much more with it to make it funnier! Nothing can beat the Sarah Brightman impersonation...THAT is just hilarious!!!!!

I think Andrea Martin impersonated her on SCTV, not SNL. That was a really long time ago! I think I saw it on a re-run a few years ago

I never saw it, but I'm going to guess she wasn't singing; only because she doesn't sound ANYTHING like Bernadette...then again, why wouldn't they have her sing since it is mostly what Bernadette is known for.
I wish I had seen it because Andrea Martin is one of my favorite actresses. I was so upset she didn't win the Tony last year, but I was excited to see her at Broadway Barks, co-hosting with Bernadette.

I remember hearing about the Andrea Martin impersonation so I looked it up. This was the best description I could find of it
It was the Feb. 18. 1983 episode:

Bernadette pouts, sings, bawls and blows up.
Big Jim McBob - Flaherty; Billy Sol Hurok - Candy; Bernadette Peters - Martin
Another listing I saw was Andrea (as Bernadette) was supposedly singing Broadway Baby at the time of her, um, blow-up.
