This was in a review of a new production of Ruthless playing in Denver.

"Award-winning writer and lyricist Joal Paley is in the process of updating it for a Broadway[sic show only played off-Broadway] revival starring Bernadette Peters, but TG gets the first shot at the new script."

For those unfamiliar with the show, Marvin Laird wrote the music and Peters has an uncredited cameo on the recording.

That would really be great if it ever comes off. Bernadette did perform the role of the mother, Judy Denmark, in a one time benefit production in Los Angeles in 1996.

That will be fun if it ever comes to pass. Then Bernadette can go back to doing a new show (which I believe she actually prefers) as opposed to a revival where she is compared to past performers.
