this is so awesome. the awards are just around the corner and i'm going to them. and cannot wait to watch the way everyone presents themselves on the biggest night in theatre now to see who will host the show

I'm so jealous that you're going! LOL I was gonna get tickets, but I really can't afford them....it's expensive enough just to sit in the worst seats. Plus I sort of went broke seeing Gypsy a few too many times. 
HMMMM, now you'll have to start thinking of what to wear  LOL
As much as I would like to go though, there is something so fun about watching them at home (up close in a way). Maybe I'll throw a Tony party this year!
I can't wait to see which numbers the musical nominees perform.

i don't care if the seats aren't the greatest...it is the experience that is worth more than money can buy. growing up performing it is a dream come true to be there and there is only one enterance right?

I think the UK has a different video tape format than the US. Can't remember for sure.

Jennie, you can watch a part of the Tonys on the computer at www.TonyAwards.com.:
(1) live streaming video at 6:30pm (?)and
(2)at 7:30 pm,the Tonys pre-show, webcast live from the stage at Radio City.
The 5 or 6 hours time difference puts that at 11:30pm (or 12:30am); YAWN
(Re: VCR: North America uses the "NTSC" video standard, the Uk uses "PAL". You might find out whether your VCR can play the "NTSC" video.)

Oh, I didn't mean to imply that you had bad seats, I just meant that I can't even afford the bad ones (never mind the good ones). LOL
It will be quite an experience...you'll have to tell us all about it.
I believe there is more than one entrance. I know there is because for Bernadette's Radio City concert, people were entering from 2 different sides of the building, same thing at the Gypsy opening night. There is a main red carpet entrance, and then side entrances for people who don't want to be photographed, or interviewed...and for the most part, they do prefer non-celebrities to enter on the sides (not by way of the red carpet); but I don't think they'll stop you if you do enter that way

I had a crazy time trying to get tickets. I could only afford the cheaper seats and they are by no means cheap! I'm front row 3rd mezzanine and I bought them at 10 AM. They went on sale at 9 AM so they go really quickly! Daedreams..where are your seats?

I was at Radio City for Bernadette's concert but I didn't go down and look up at the whole place. Has anyone here ever sat in the 3rd mezzanine? Is the view really good or is it far away? Anyway, I'm so thankful I got tickets.

I have been going to Radio City since i was a kid. It is "SOOOOOOO BIG" (Into the Woods reflection. I have sat everywhere in the Music Hall and the mezz are a good way from the stage which can make things difficult to see but bring your binoculars and i am sure you will have a Fantastic time. I am very jealous.
