| posted: 4/3/2003 at 2:11:57 PM ET I was just thinking, since the whole name referral thing is a big topic, just by looking at her...if you didn't know her name was Bernadette, what would you think her name is?
LOL I do that with people; like I give them a name that I think fits their face or personality.
I would say for Bernadette....Elizabeth (maybe Lydia...but I'm not too sure about that one). Or maybe something like Toni-Ann

From: London | posted: 4/3/2003 at 2:27:27 PM ET oh I'm a Jennifer! but I do love the name Bernadette. I think if I ever have a daughter I'll have bernadette as her middle name. Middle names are very important to me seeing as I was deprived of one as Bernadette was I believe (note- BERNADETTE!).
Hmmm....if not a Bernadette...a Marie? casting agents obviously thinks she looks like a Marie seeing as shes played so many of them!
they say bernadette's wonderful..........and she is

My middle name is Marie (I'm not deprived LOL).
I've noticed that people who have uncommon or long names (like Bernadette) don't usually have middle names. Had her first name not been after a religious figure, then she would most likely have a middle name that is named after one. I wonder what her Confirmation name is.
My middle name is not necessary because Christine comes from Christ, but I'm glad I have one.
I don't know why I just shared that information. LOL

I thought the name Cassandra suited her well when she guest starred on Ally McBeal. I could even picture her as a Willow.....lol, I have quite a variety going on here. I think Kewpie and Melody would fit her right to a T.....although, I can't ever imagine anyone naming their child "Kewpie".....it's just too close to key lime pie....anyways, i'm done ranting....lol!!!

Registered: 2/16/2003 | posted: 4/4/2003 at 1:45:51 AM ET my dad's from sicily as is Bernadette's family and my dad and his 4 siblings dont have middle names, and neither do any of their cousins so i have to think its a cultual/religious thing.
i know her mom's name is Margerite (no idea how to spell it) and i could see her as that or maybe an Antoinette, or something more exotic and not so common as those.
