Hi all,
Haven't been posting here for a while, but used to regularly a few years back.
Just amazed that we still not have had the chance to enjoy BP in a musical or play on the West End Stage in London.
Not even on the London concert stage singing her Sondheim stuff either.
What a shame... oh well, Happy New Year all!

I live in the UK too and would love to see Bernadette perform in concert again. or star in the Westend
I am ever hopeful.
She will be performing at the Olivier Awards this year though - so that's exciting!

Hi, Scottie, nice to hear from you! I don't know why she has not appeared in London (except for the 2 concerts)--has she not been offered anything she wanted to do? or, does she not like to be that far away from home for that long? or, ??
Anyway, if her performance at the Olivier Awards is broadcast on TV perhaps you could tell us about it.
(I seem to think that Gypsy was originally supposed to have tryouts in London--but then, obviously, was changed but I don't remember why. I also recall her saying in an interview that she was offered the role of Fosca (?) in Passion in London, and she said something like "the time wasn't right".)

Jean, the Olivier Awards have only just started to be broadcast on TV, so shall certainly make sure you get to see Bernadette's performance. It's pretty cool to think she'll be singing onstage at the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden. I've moved home from London to Edinburgh in the last couple of weeks but will probably make the trip down South to see her.

It there any way the general public can get tickets to Olivier Awards?? I'm thinking this might be my one and only chance to see Bernadette live but I don't have the in! Anyone help me?!
