I check this site on a regular basis, and it always seems pretty dead. I'm not trying to be rude, please understand. I'm merely curious as to why it isn't more active around these parts when Bernadette has such a big fanbase, is all. Pretty much all fansites that I've been a part of in the past usually have several new threads a day with a lot of replies and whatnot. I understand that people have lives and are busy and whatnot, I'm just a bit surprised because in this day and age when most people have high-speed internet at home and even on their phone, the members are not more active.
I mean, even the news on here isn't really updated anymore. I get that Bernadette's official site is pretty much up-to-date on most stuff now so it's not particularly necessary to keep track of news on here, and believe me, I'm grateful that this fansite exists at all (thanks, Kevin!) it just feels like a little like a ghost town around here and it kind of makes me sad...
How do you like them egg rolls, Mr. Goldstone?

Um, yeah.
I've been wondering why the site has never been updated to a more popular message board like Proboards or Invisionfree or something, but I guess this way is better for photo galleries and stuff. I just wish people posted more.

This used to be a great site, maybe five to ten years ago. But it got messed up when the webmaster made the usual/typical decision that American-style "free speech" meant that any asshole who wanted to spew out spam/hate speech had to be accommodated. Very bad idea. And then the whole social media thing came along which was a huge step backward and degraded much of the online discourse. So what can you do? I'd love to still be able to come here and talk about Bernadette, but it just isn't possible any longer. The "smart people" who were fun to talk with are long gone and they ain't coming back.

There are always new fans... New people can join... Maybe the site will be revived again! Not the same way as it once was, I'm sure, but... But this can't be it. Bernadette's career is far from over, I hope, there's lots of stuff to talk about, new friends to be made... Or am I just kidding myself? (Please tell me I'm not...)

Hi everyone. Davidj here but not at computer and don't have my password.
Kevin - u do a great job - please don't shut down. I check on here everyday for news before I go 2 any other site. Its a fab 'fansite' and its really important we have it.
More power 2 u Kevin - u are appreciated - its just us fans get fed up when we don't see something new each time we look. When I log on and see 'new' it always makes my day.
Thanks 2 everyone - esp Jean - who posts.
Now I'm off 2 listen 2 those new tunes from miss p x

I work two full time jobs these days and just don't have the time. I can give you more access to post news, update the calendar, moderate forums, etc.

Davidj- Hi! I'm Babs and I'm...sort of new? I joined a couple of years ago and I posted here and there, but not really. I'm going to try and post more, hopefully others will too. Those songs are great, I just wish you didn't have to buy the whole album to get them. I do like a couple of the other songs on it, so maybe I should just get it. Will probably be able to download it somewhere, but things like this that are readily available I do want to support.

Davidj again. Hi babs. Sort of new! You have been a member a few months longer than me lol. I need 2 wait till I'm home till I listen 2 the songs. But I love the bombshell songs I.I've heard so far. Can't wait 2 hear Bernadettes.
Kevin - u do a great job - even things like password resets - u are so prompt. We all appreciate ur hard work so please continue.
I am lazy - I constantly forget my password and don't like posting anon but I would post more if I kept a note of my password.
We all love Bernadette so we can work together to keep going.
I log on here and tumblr before I go 2 the official site - thats how great it is.

I lurked on the site for a few months or so before I went ahead and registered. Ended up registering after I saw Follies at the Kennedy Center, I think it was (which was awesome, by the way!)
I am actually in the process of going through the pages that haven't been archived yet (I think there's over 130? I'm down to 92) and reading some threads here and there that look interesting. Is that weird? Haha.

I've been on this site for 10 years. I joined shortly after I saw Bernadette in Gypsy. This is more than a website. It's a community. I have made wonderful friends here and it is the first site I go to everyday. Bernadette is a truly great performer. But more than that she has really amazing fans. I have seen this group stick together before. When we signed a petition so that Gypsy didn't close on Bernadette!s birthday, all the money we used to raise every year for Broadway Barks, the outpouring of love and support after Michael died. What a shame it would be if this website no longer allowed this community to come together.
Kevin we appreciate all the hardwork and dedication that you have put into this site. It has always run so beautifully. I know a website is a lot of work and upkeep. But I want to tell you that if you would like I would be more than willing to help you maintain the site in any way I can. I bet some other fans would be willing to help too. If we come together like we always have this site could continue to be not only a great source of Bernadette Peters information and news but it can continue to be the wonderful community it always has been.

Count me as another supporter. I still check in at this site quite regularly. Some of the folks that have posted here I have met in person at some of the shows and pretty much everyone has been great. It would be hard to name another performer that has such a friendly, kind fan base.

Count me in as well! I'm may be only 14, but I like to think (and let everyone know) that I'm Bernadette's biggest fan! And don't want this wonderful connection to her latest news to disappear.
