"Q: Your last Broadway musical was the revival of “Follies,†which was so well-received.
A: That was an amazing show. It was probably one of the hardest things I’ve done, because everything that’s not being said is what you’re playing. You’re playing the dialogue that is not there."
"Q: You worked in that show with Elaine Paige. Do all Broadway divas know each other?
A: (Laughing) Well, I suppose I do. Elaine is so much fun and just so talented. And when we do an event, we’re all there, and we get to be with each other for a night or rehearsal the day before. All the women are terrific. When I did the Stephen Sondheim birthday concert (in 2010), there was Patti LuPone, Audra McDonald and Elaine Stritch, whom I love."
"Q: It’s been a few years since you’ve released a solo album. Will there be anything soon?
A: (Coyly) Sort of ... I think there’s something happening ... (giggling) We’ll see."

Added on Nov 28:
"Q: You’ve done so many great roles. What would you like to play?
A: (Giggling) I’m always afraid to say them out loud, because then I’ll have to go do them. Right now, I like resting."

From: Arizona | posted: 12/11/2012 at 12:43:52 AM ET Hi folks. I went to the concert in Scottsdale. Probably been to more than a dozen over the years. I will always love Bernadette, but this was the first concert where she seemed to struggle abit. Always in the past there has been such energy, joy, and fun. She does seem tired. I wish her well, hope she can get some rest, and yes I will be back for more concerts.
Special shout-out to Jean and all the 'old' board members!

I suspect that the back-to-back shows (A Little Night Music and Follies) were more tiring than we can have imagined; also, she was away from home with Follies, which may have affected her. She has certainly made it clear in numerous interviews that she wants a rest and that she will be very particular in returning to the stage/theater.
Let's hope that she finds what she is looking for.
