It looked to me like the concert was close to 80 minutes, with no intermissions. That's really not that short for a solo concert. Musicals are much longer, plays are usually longer. One-person shows and concerts, not so much. The Patti and Mandy concert is just a bit longer but they have an intermission. When they make their shows longer, like Barbra Streisand does, you end up with guest performers like Il Divo. Personally I'd rather have a shorter concert of just the artist I came to see, working at maximum intensity, and no intermission, then dragging it out with intermissions and filler.

I was in attendance Saturday night and the concert was in fact closer to one hour. The show started a bit late and began with a video showcasing the ASO music education initiatives. The concert opened with the usual overture (which took away from Bernadette's stage time) and ended an hour later with one encore. Many "standards" (well at least what I consider standards) were missing. The sound was awful terrible. All these issues have nothing to do with Bernadette...with that said, she looked and sounded wonderful! It was great to hear Buddy's Eyes and Losing My Mind (from Follies), she also had a little hiccup in the beginning of "Nothing Like a Dame", where she had difficulty finding the note, "No that's not right". She went over to Marvin, stopped the song, and resumed. It was very cute!

Thank you for the review, Richie! It's nice to read a first-hand account from a fan. Bernadette seems very adept at overcoming those infrequent performance slip-ups. I guess that's the sign of a true professional!

Thanks for posting the video links, Jennifer!
