I've heard from some friends who were trying to purchase tickets that the date for tickets being sold to the general public has been pushed back to Feb 2nd. I haven't heard any confirmation of this yet but will keep you updated if I do.

Yes, that's true. Feb. 2nd is the first day for non AMEX buyers
