Are there any other Australian Bernadette Peters fans out there that want her to do an Aussie concert? Or is it just me?
I fear that unless she came to Australia, I would never be able to see her because I'm only 15 =[
Please let me know if there is anyone else out there!

Good to know there's another Bernadette fan in Australia! I would definately love to see her perform here. She did do a concert in Sydney in 1998, but it was before I knew who she was (I was 13 at the time... and you would have only been 5, so no wonder you didn't get to see it!). Sadly, I doubt that she'll do another concert here. She doesn't have much of a fan base here- purely because she isn't well known. But if she did come to Australia to perform, I'd hope that she'd do a concert in Melbourne! I guess we'll just have to be content with whatever movies/cd's that we can get our hands on- and even those are difficult to come by in this part of the world!

Unfortunately I agree with you about her probably not coming to the land down under, but a girl can dream. haha. If she did, I'd have to disagree with you about Melbourne and would prefer it if she came back to Sydney. If only I'd known when I was 5...haha, bugger!
Maybe I'll get there one day...though I doubt it. I've been trying to get a copy of the Jerk or Silent Movie cos I've only just discovered Bernadette Peters; I saw Into The Woods and straight away knew that she was a brilliant performer. If you (or anyone else for that matter) know where I could get a copy of either that would be appreciated.

I found both The Jerk and Silent Movie at my local video store. If you can't find them in the bigger franchise stores like Blockbuster etc, try a locally owned store- they often have a broader range of movies instead of just the mainstream ones.

Hello Soup, welcome to the board, it looks like there's now a Bernadette board member in almost every Time Zone around the world.
If you get the DVD of Bernadette's London concert at the Royal Festival Hall you will see what you missed when you were five.
Amazon is a great place for catching up with all the Bernadette goodies. Might I suggest that you also look out for "Pennies From Heaven" ... not so much fun as The Jerk and Silent Movie perhaps, but a great Bernadette performance in the best written role of her film career. If you haven't already seen Sunday In The Park With George -- that is so worth getting too.

Thanks for all the great advice everyone! I will definitely try to find Pennies From Heaven as well as the other two. I can't wait to watch them, and I've also heard a lot about Sunday In The Park With George so I'll try and see that at some point as well.
Cheers and hope to one day see Bernadette in concert (I've recently started a Bernadette Peters trust fund so that if I ever travel, I can go to see her...if she is still touring at that time, so fingers crossed)

Not sure what's going on with the links but Bernadette will be appearing at the Adelaide Festival Theatre in Australia in June 2009. Check out the calendar on her official site for updates.

Great news! Now that she's remembered where she left her passport and is on the move I'm wondering if we'll get lucky over here? I have my credit card at the ready and I'm sending my 'little black number' to the dry cleaners just in case!

OH MY GOSH!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ACK! ADELAIDE!?! Phooey, I live in Sydney! I won't have the money to go all the way to ADELAIDE! AHH! I can't believe my luck (or lack thereof)!

Kevin, I think there's something up with the link function. 
Soup, go to BP's official website and check her "Calendar" page, it looks like she's doing three concerts at the Adelaide Festival Theatre, 5th-7th June 2009 , and it states that the tickets are on sale soon!
