Great cast. I can hardly wait to see it, even if it is one of those "disease" movies I usually avoid.

I just hope she's not the one dying this time. Lifetime movies almost always make me cry.

I'm glad she doesn't die in this one. I haven't watched "The Last Best Year" yet, because I hate movies about cancer. My grandmother passed away 8 years ago, 3 days before my birthday, and her funeral was on my birthday. She passed away from ovarian cancer that spread to her bones, but one of her sisters died from breast cancer. Three of my four grandparents have had cancer, and two are still alive. I can't take hearing or watching movies about it......but since I know she survives, I'll watch it. I'm glad I'll be able to see her on tv again!!! YAY!!!! Thanks for posting!!

Just because her character does not die, doesn't mean SOMEONE doesn't die. I think (if I'm reading that article Scottie posted correctly) Tammy Blanchard's character might die in it?

So, I'm sure it will be a difficult movie regardless.
I'm so sorry to hear about you Grandmother and her sister. Cancer is big on both sides of my family as well, so I totally understand.

I think the main purpose of this movie is a story of hope and a future of medicines that can help people survive. So hopefully we can look at it from that POV and still be able to enjoy it.

Do you think the fact that she's back in NY so quickly might indicate that her part was possibly shorter than we would hope?

That's what I was thinking too. Wasn't she only down in New Orleans for 8 or 9 days?
