Ugh. ANOTHER Bernadette concert?? I've been to so many they all seem the same after a while. I might stay for her encore, but I'd rather get out of there before the crowds get too bad. I'll give everyone a report tonight... if there's anything worth reporting...
aww yeah i assume that after a while they could get boring...since she hasnt changed anything really for a few years now. but its still so amazing to witness. i wish i could see her so many times that id get bored. lol
but yeah if you meet her after or get any pictures, we'd love to see them and hear about your experience! thanks.
HAVE FUN.

but i just have to say that i am lazy and im usually at work and have to type fast (as to not get caught) so i dont use capitals or punctuation when necessary, so sorry about that. i am smart though.
i dont know if that was directed at me or not but i felt the need to defend myself.

I have a feeling you're being sarcastic and I hope you enjoy the concert, Bernadette never sings things the same way twice, and that alone is worth the price of admission in my opinion.
As for anonymous' comments, I personally am less bothered by people posting honest opinions in lower case and with poor grammar than by those who post acronyms for vulgarities and don't have the integrity to post under their username.
It's beyond laughable that people thought I was serious about that post. Absolutely ridiculous. Nuff said.
Well, the night was absolutley magical. Concert #6 and NO i WASN'T bored.
The hall was pretty packed. Of course, the symphony had the first half. Boo.
Her set was pretty standard. I'm absolutely in love with "When you Wish Upon a Star". I video taped it and am weary to post in on YouTube for fear of getting some fine. Any comforting thoughts?
Let's see... Johanna was a nice surprise as I've never heard it live before and was floored by how different her interpretation was from the London concert. Pretty much the entire SHOW had completely new spins on the songs. She had some wonderful moments in the show:
During "With So Little to be Sure Of", some friends of mine all clutched their hearts (they were in the 2nd row) and extended their arms to Bernadette as she was walking stage left. As she's singint the song she LITERALLY looks at them, smile, shakes her hand at them and goes "Oh you". Swear to God. It was a complete and wonderful surprise.
Before singing Kramer's Song, she talked about how it would be a nice song to sing to someone while putting them to sleep. She's about 1/4 of the way through the song when she looks down at a man in the 1st row and says "It's working!" She then starts laughing and interjects "I saw him yawn!". Again, took me by delicious surprise.
"Super sex" and Condo jokes were in and appreciated by everyone. Despite the crowd being older, they all lept to their feet after "Being Alive" and for a minute, after Kramer's Song, I thought she was going to have a SECOND encore because they kept clapping! Alas...
The best/ saddest part came after the show...
I have my ways... but I was pretty sure I would be on the "list" after the show to meet Bernadette. I've done it before and it usually works. So I go to the guy at the stage door, tell him my name, he says I'm on the list, and ushers be backstage (leaving about 15 of my friends behind) My mom and I wait and then go into Bernadette's dressing room and chat for about 5 minutes. Complete and utter bliss. She was so easy going and lovely and warm. I told her how I'm moving to NY after graduation to pursue musical theatre and she was so concerned about what I was going to do when I got out there! "So you're going out there and looking for a place right away? Where are you staying before then? I'm worried about you!" No joke. Verbatim. We talked about Tom Wopat (she told me he's doing Catch Me If You Can after Catered Affair). She just kept asking questions and was absolutely lovely.
So we get a picture, I say thank you again, and leave. I walk out the stage door, my friends ambush me, I tell them everything and (big mistake) reassure them that she'll be coming out. As luck would have it, she did no such thing. Very odd. I'm not sure why.
Regardless, a perfect evening. Will send pictures soon.

I'm a great fan of well-placed acronyms ... but you obviously didn't like Anon's use of "WTF" - which I didn't take as vulgar. I just thought it meant "with true feeling".
When I don't like other people's acronyms I just tell them to STFU.
