Bernadette presented the award to BC/EFA today. She gave a speech before she presented the award. She said that she was so happy to be presnting this award to such a wonderful organization. BC/EFA started in 1988 when I was in Stephen Sondheim's Into The Woods at the Martin Beck now the Al Hiershfield and there is a song from Into The Woods No One Is Alone that was written around the same time BC/EFA started. There were some bad things in the air at that time but they were replaced by some very good things. BC/EFA has helped many health organizations and families of AIDS victimes and has recently expanded to help with the important topic of woman's health and health insurance or rather lack of it. BC/EFA helped victims of the attacks in September 2001, the tsunami victims in Asia and most recenlty the victims in New Orleans of Hurriacne Katrina. The national tour of The Lion King has raised substansical money for BC/EFA and I'm proud to say taht I was involved in the revivals of Annie Get Your Gun and Gypsy which raised six hundred thousand for BC/EFA. And now instead of them thanking all of us for singing all the posters I would like to thank them and present this award.
She looked great, had a white outfit on. She left in the middle of the ceremony probably because of the concert tomorrow.

She did. She also talked about how BC/EFA produces Broadway Barks which helps animals and in turn peopel because it's wonderful coming home to a healing companion every night. It was good to see her there.
