Good to know inside information right.....NOT
I stopped by the box office yesterday to inquire and this is the scoop.
First the renewal letters are out. Sometime in May, when the renewals are back, they will open
sales to new Series subscribers. That's not too bad, but here is the catch:
There are 8 shows in the Series on Friday and Saturday nights. However, Bernadette will only be performing on Saturday, therefore they will have to combine both groups, and can not guarantee their regular seats.....bummer.
They expect a lot of new subscribers because of Bernadette (DUH) and after the combo - rumba there won't be much left for the general public. What is left is priced at $50 and $75.
So if you are planning a nice Fall visit to Arizona, good luck getting in to see Bernadette.
I WILL get there one way or another and report back and send my usual roses (My sister is an usher he he he).
Finally, at Symphony Hall, there is virtually no way to meet anyone since they exit straight to a limo in the garage and are gone
I'll keep checking here to see if there are any other easier venues to get good seats. Please post if you guys know of any.....I do enjoy traveling.
Jim.

Particular mention must be made of Bernadette Peters, who turns up briefly in a sort of sparkly Glinda the Good costume. She's the reluctant muse sent to help Alice with her writing. The muse is dressed like Oz, sounds like Queens and behaves like a bored student adviser. Alice Film Review, The New York Times, December 25, 1990

Subscription sales managers tend to make these situations sound more urgent than they really are. They are, after all, trying to sell more subscriptions!
