I don't know what you want to do about the "Articles" field, but I'd suggest you either delete it entirely, or maybe put our reviews of concerts and plays, etc, and longer pieces about other events there.
I love the FAQ section but I find it hard to read the questions--it might be my old eyes. Could you make the type black and provide spaces between each FAQ question.
I love the Timeline--please don't change a thing--I use it frequently.
What happened to the "Quotes" section? Instead of one person taking on the job, how about anyone putting a quote in, similar to the Timeline. If there's duplication, someone-anyone-can take care of fixing it.
I'll think about the calendar.

Does anyone read the first (news) page, or does everyone go straight to the messages? I suspect messages are first--perhaps open the site with a page that starts out with a brief greeting, then goes right into messages, then have "latest news" as one of the side-bar items.
In the Links section, I've been thinking of adding some of the newspapers, like The NY times, Hollywood Reporter, NY Post, Backstage--maybe playbill.com--is that ok, does anyone want those?

I hope you don't dilute that by taking it in the direction of generic. Keep it Coke Classic--don't make the New Coke mistake.

Oh, one more thing--I think it is time for a change in some of the pictures. For the opening-greeting-page, how about something fairly recent--like that picture of her from the publicity for BP Loves RH, sideways, but without the tatoo. I also like the cover shot of her on the R&H cd.
Also, on the front page of the Biography, you could change the pictures, maybe include at least one from Gypsy, but surely keep a few older ones too. By the way, the Biography is great, I wouldn't change a thing.

Jolly well done!

| posted: 3/24/2007 at 10:26:02 PM ET I've reworked the calendar to hopefully be more useful. Comments, please. It might have some quirks still. It will now automatically track when events are posted and are updated.
I just realized that the timeline never worked right in Firefox. You guys must've been wondering what it was supposed to do. Fixed. Either that or I broke it, realized it subconsciously and then refixed it. I don't know.
I guess you guys noticed I changed the default template on the forums and some of the generic templates. Let me know what you think.

| posted: 3/25/2007 at 6:28:11 PM ET I've redone the homepage taking into account some of Jean's suggestions and trying to make it more informative at a glance. I'm (slowly) getting to the rest of the stuff. I haven't erased any of the old looking stuff either, just in case I want to go back.

One problem with the calendar-the times for the concerts seem to have gotten scrambled-is that an easy fix?
I like the background color.
And I really like the new lay-out of the homepage.

I kind of think the two can be merged and the section renamed (or just call it the "BP Fan Wiki" or some such). The quotes thing fizzled (I suspect) because using the wiki markup to maintain it among multiple people is more complicated than the simplicity of the timeline and because it's not in a prominent section of the site. The original idea for the articles section was more of a photo essay type of thing, but it's not interesting without other users posting stuff. I'd like to work on these parts so suggestions are welcome and, as always, new stuff you guys would like.
