| posted: 10/7/2006 at 8:10:45 PM ET Ok I need help getting quotes together for the quotes page I'm helping make. So if there are any you want there please PM them to me. They could be from Bernadette, from one of her characters or a quote about Bernadette. Thanks.

Can you find a format and a place on the site for the "Quote" idea?
I don't want to go too far with this until we get your thoughts and ok...
Anyone else?

| posted: 10/28/2006 at 12:54:13 PM ET Sorry for the delay, but rather than create a specialized thing for the quotes I decided it'd be better to have a more generalized area for free-form UGC (user generated content).
I've programmed a wiki system to fulfill this need. The code is all new so I'm sure problems will be found with it, so be nice
I'm not going to link it to the main site yet until it has something interesting or at least proves it won't break right away.
The link to it is Wiki.

Registered: 6/7/2003 | posted: 10/28/2006 at 2:44:39 PM ET Just for fun, and for playing around with format, etc, I added a quote from Bob Mackie from a book. I used the 4 tildes but it didn't show my name, I'll work on that. This is fun, the editing principles are easy if you've worked a bit in Wikipedia (I admit to having become obsessed with fleshing out the Wiki article on Dames at Sea in this past week.)
Got to get ready for tonight now --you know, rest my voice, tea with honey, meditate, eat fish-- ok really bad joke!

| posted: 10/30/2006 at 10:50:10 AM ET Yeah, I just added the tildes yesterday. You'll have to roundtrip (edit and submit) your section for them to be reinterpreted. I tried to stick to the Wikipedia standards for editing.
Karen: the wiki provides a space to put stuff that doesn't really fit elsewhere and doesn't require a structure to be useful. Whereas the timeline needs somewhat stricter structure (because of the dates and categories), the quotes page is better for the wiki because there aren't really any requirements.
It's another "experiment".

Registered: 5/3/2002 | posted: 10/30/2006 at 11:41:26 AM ET I'm already screwing it up! I was just "experimenting" with trying to add something, though I ended up not doing anything yet, but now it gives my name as having edited it. How did that happen?

Existing page
blah blah blah
== new section name ==
This is my new section.
