As I think I've mentioned before, I volunteer at the ASPCA in New York. Their facility on 92nd Street has recently gone under a huge renovation and they had their grand opening of their new animal area about a week ago. Last Sunday when I was there, I was thrilled to see there were many photographs (professional photographs)of adopters and their pets all over the walls of the new area and throughout the building. I noticed Cheyenee Jackson with his dog and I was disappointed there wasn't a picture of Bernadette since we all know she and Michael got Kramer at the ASPCA. I figured they were trying to use the average person in their photographs instead of celebrities. Well today I went in to volunteer again and guess who's picture I saw? - yes their most famous celebrity adopter. I guess they just didn't have all the photographs up yet last week. Anyway, I took a picture of it but it was with my camera phone, lighting conditions were not ideal and I was also trying to take it quickly before anyone saw me. There is also a picture of Judy Katz and her dog, Maxwell. ALL of the pictures are really amazing. Someone told me who the photographer was and of course I've forgotten his name now.

If I can get a better picture in the coming weeks I'll certainly post it for everyone. Maybe I can bring a real camera with me next time.

You know, at first I was going to suggest that you take another picture with your good camera. Then, I looked at what you took and I think that I really like it-it's a little out of focus, making it kind of "artsy", but in a good, not-pretentious way.
It captures something about Bernadette that other pictures don't, can't quite find the words but it's really riveting.
I also meant to mention that I really love the fact that they don't call attention to Bernadette's picture. She's just one of many adopters who have their picture up. Only first names are used on all the pictures so the little name plate below the picture just says (Bernadette with Kramer, Adopted May 1998 ) Or it might have been March. Anyway, all the pictures are really sweet which I know I've said before. LOL

Well Jean, I'm glad you like the artsy nature of it but its really just bad lighting. I actually had to darken it when I took it because the normal settings on my camera phone had it completely washed out. And I actually don't think this photo really does the picture justice. Bernadette looks like she has a weird expression on her face which I don't recall on the actual photograph. Like I said, I'll try to take another, more traditional picture and you can decide which one you like better.

LOL Well I think most of Kramer's body is kind of hidden making his head look large. I don't recall him ever looking "Head-Heavy" before. Glad you like the picture.

So I was able to get a better picture of The Picture. I'm also including a link to my online photo album that includes more pictures of The ASPCA's new adoption center. There is also one of Judy Katz's picture.
Remember: Never buy an animal from a store and always spay or neuter.
