My charming piece o' crap car is at the mechanic where they are lovingly taking advantage of the fact I am a girl and know nothing about cars; and probably charging me by the hour...at this point it's been over 26. I'll be broke until next week.

Registered: 5/3/2002 | posted: 5/7/2006 at 7:56:58 PM ET This cause is always so worthy, but I've been thinking that this year, of all years, it would be especially nice if we could make an extra good group showing of our support for this important charity that is so dear to Bernadette's heart.
The official arrangements are being made a little later than usual this year, so it's easy to feel that there's not enough time or that you don't have enough money. Remember the checks will not be cashed until June at least, so if you're feeling temporarily poor, that may not be a problem after all. Also, every little bit helps, so no matter how small your donation is, it's still important. If you can only send $5 just go ahead and do it. It will be greatly appreciated.
The sooner Mandy gets our checks, the sooner she can post a preliminary total. The sooner she does that, the sooner we will know whether we're falling short of our goal and how much extra we need to make up.
I just wrote my check and will be mailing it first thing tomorrow morning. I hope everyone digs deep in their pockets and follows suit. It'll make you feel good!

Registered: 5/3/2002 | posted: 5/24/2006 at 8:09:29 PM ET Uh oh! Time's a flying, folks.
We're doing well, but I'm getting a little worried that we're not quite as close to our goal as we should be at this point. If you're still interested in being part of the group donation, now is definitely the time to get your check in the mail. No more leeway left for procrastinating.
Just think how much money we'd raise if everyone reading this sent a check for as little as $5. Come on. Everyone can afford $5. You can too!

Registered: 8/14/2003 | posted: 5/25/2006 at 4:57:11 PM ET I was planning on using our same "title" from last year as long as no one disagrees. I also am not sure if our individual names will be included this year. Last year they were, but this year I dont know. I need to know if there is anyone who would not like their name printed in the playbill. If you do not want it printed, please PM me. If you've already told me, then we are good to go.
Thanks everyone. Our total is now $1250!

"Just wanted to let you know that this year we raised about $90,000 and that after all applications are reviewed there will probably be about 60 adoptions! Thanks again for all your help and for helping to make Broadway Barks the success it is."
