In the spirit of such lists like "You know you're a red-neck if..." or "You know you've reached middle age if...", I thought we'd start a list of our own!
So..................
You know you're a Bernadette Peters fan if:
You've lobbyed in the Senate to make February 28th a national holiday.

this isnt just for bernadette, but for theatre in general:
you know your a theatre lover if you can wiggle theatre into every project/thing you do at school. (i can do it!)
alrite, bernadette now:
...you not only know what movies/cds/broadway shows she did, but can give the dates too.
and also
...if you can relate everything back to bernadette (kinda like the theatre thing)

In the course of everyday conversations, you find yourself exclaiming lines like "You mortals understand so little!" or "Are you a cop? I hate cops." Or out of the blue announcing "I can smell the toll house cookies." or "Coco Chanel couldn't sew."or of course my all time favorite "When's the next bus outta here?"

who exactly is Judy Katz? I've heard her name in relation to Bernadette's loads of times but I'm not sure who she is.

....if you go to one of her concerts and you know what she's going to say before she says it because you've been to that same concert in many different cities.
....if you only refer to her by her first name when talking to non-Bernadette fans, and expect them to know who you're talking about.

Judy Katz is Bernadette's publicist. You will often see her with Bernadette at her public events.

You know you're a Bernadette fan if...you not only recite what she says in between songs at her concerts' (I'm SO glad I'm not the only one who does that):-) you also went out and bought the "AGYG" soundtrack three months before you saw the show just so you would know all the words to every song before you saw it...I'm VERY guilty of both :-)

I always do that! I'm always like "oh bernadette's going to open in gypsy in april" and people DO know who im talking about though

same here. then I list about 12 billion films so they figure out who she is. shes less well known among british teenagers but everyone at some point in their life has seen Annie.
