From: NYC | posted: 8/28/2005 at 11:21:21 PM ET PA Fan and I are on a tour of Bernadette-related restaurants this weekend. Last night we had dinner at Tony's Di Napoli and saw her portrait - its gorgeous of course. PA Fan attempted to distract the wait staff while I ran across the tables to grab it but our plan was foiled by the diligent maitre'd. LOL. We had brunch today at Big Nick's diner at Broadway & 77th which Michael says is his favorite restaurant. We later had coffee at the famous bookstore although we didn't walk out with anything without paying first. This evening we had dinner at Ruth's Chris. We asked our waiter where the piano was. He said there's a party room upstairs and they just brought the piano in especially for the event. He told us how disappointed he was that he didn't get to work the recent Sondheim Etc. Etc. release but did work the Gypsy cd release party and that Bernadette is so gorgeous and is such a sweetheart. He asked us if she was 50 and we told him her age and he was very impressed. He went on to say how impressed he was with the kids in the cast and they must have all come from really good homes because they were all so nice and well behaved - "they were like little adults". He said it was really fun to work that party.
We are now really full.

Welcome back Jean. Things just aren't the same without you. Now where do I send the subscription money for your newsletter?

From: NYC | posted: 8/29/2005 at 9:45:33 AM ET Love the travelogue! Also, that's good advice for my one of these days trip to Scotland - I definitely won't make it a 2 week trip.
I knew you'd come thru on the restaurant information because of course you hold the most extensive collection of all things Bernadette.

(I wonder how many fan groups have an official archivist/archeologist?)
