It was GREAT! She talked a lot about Sondheim and the new album. Good interview. http://www.wor710.com/listen.shtml I'm not sure if it will be replayed or still available or not.

Can anyone tell me what happened during the first 10 minutes (10:35-10:45)? I missed it.

Glad to hear about the possible mid-season replacement. And did I hear Bernadette say "pissed" on the radio?

She did say it! I heard it too. I missed the first 10 minutes too. What a great interview.

I listened to the whole thing but now can't remember what she said during which part. She was talking about marriage and her wedding, a little about Stephen Sondheim, Broadway Barks, Adopted being a possible mid-season replacement...and other stuff that I am drawing a blank on right now.

Joan Hamburg made some comment while they were talking about the wedding saying "And you sang." BP said "at my own wedding?" Then she basically said no way and talked about the Irish band that played.

ARG! I completely forgot to listen to it.

I hope they replay it or have a link to listen to it when I can.

I emailed Joan Hamburg and asked if it will be replayed or if there will be a copy available. I'll let y'all know if I hear back from her.

well, then maybe I should ask Bernadette at Barks about her TV show. Remember what she told me at the book signing?

"and this is my back." - Bernadette turning around to take a drink of water. 4/3/05, Boston's Symphony Hall

Well it doesn't sound like she'll know anything at Barks. She's pretty much in limbo until the fall when they decide what shows get replaced.

ok i listened to the first 15 min and then my tape cut off, so can someone report on the last 15?

ummm, the first 15, she talked about sondheim first and joan hamburg was like "is he the type of person who only lets certain people into his life and then he is loyal to you forever or is he very very private?" and bernadette said he is a little of both, but what people don't realize is he is very very kind. she repeated again, "he's such a kind person."

then she talked about how when she does a role she doesn't know where it will take her, what journey she will go on. she compared it to when a writer starts writing and doesn't know where the pen will lead him, it's like that for her. she talked about how SITPWG was so great for her and how she looked forward to singing "move on" every night because it was like meditating.

then i think she talked about the wedding next. she said how great it was at mary tyler moore's place and how they had a tent and dancing and an irish band. and how it rained the night before and then it cleared up and was beautiful weather the day of the wedding. and what was said earlier about how she didn't sing at her own wedding, which was funny. and she said she loves looking at her wedding album, how the whole thing was just perfect, something like that.

then joan went into all this stuff about how marriage is such work, blah blah, you have to constantly reinvent yourself, it's like performing, and bernadette agreed and basically just kept saying yes, yes. and then joan went into this tangent about animals not being monagamous and bernadette said well, penguins are! and joan asked if she had seen march of the penguins and she said not yet, but she wants to. then bernadette added in that swans are monagamous too.

then right before my tape cut off joan was asking her about different disciplines.

anyone want to carry on?

Disciplines. What do you mean?
