From: Dallas, TX | posted: 11/19/2004 at 2:30:15 PM ET Saw Ms. Peters on television years ago, may have been the 80's, but probably the 90's, but cannot remember what show it was.
She was dressed in a long gown/dress, I think.
The song was slow & melancholy, a woman pining for a man. Don't remember if it was a "he's in love with someone else" or a "he doesn't know I'm alive" kind of regret.
The only words I remember are the end of a line: "children, one a year".
(Yep, that's it. Kinda hard to find on a web search with so little to go on.)
This song has haunted me for YEARS. I sure hope someone can help me with this.

If this isn't the song, I would imagine you would have a good chance of finding it on her Bernadette CD as all those songs are pretty much pining for a lost love type of song.

Registered: 6/26/2003 | posted: 11/19/2004 at 10:10:53 PM ET Right now the only songs I can think of that Bernadette has sung containing the word "children" are "Children Will Listen" and "Children and Art" but neither of those are about a woman pining for a man. Songs along those lines that she sang in the 90s on TV would be: What'll Do, Not a Day Goes By, Send in the Clowns, What's the Use of Wonderin', I'm a Fool to Want You.
