Hi!
I just visited the official site a few minutes ago and got bored and hit the 'Related Websites' link, and Kevin's site isn't linked up there anymore. :-/.
(I just remember that it was briefly talked about how we were linked to them at the time here in this thread)
...how come it was removed?

This is just my opinion but I'm going to guess because Kevin's site is a fan site and not a site that Bernadette officially endorses. I thought it was quite unusual that this site was linked in the first place. There are so many fan sites out there that it must be hard to decide which ones to include. Of course we all know this is the best site for Bernadette, hands down.
But maybe they decided they didn't want to have to turn down a bunch of other sites, or have all of her fan sites linked. I don't think most official sites include links to fan sites because it means the celebrity endorses the fan site. And when you don't have control over the content, you probably don't want to endorse it.
I think it was quite a compliment that Kevin's site was linked even for a short period of time.

I know it's not really that important, but somehow this news really disappoints me.Thanks to Kevin, this site is outstanding. It is THE place to come for Bernadette-related chat. Yes, she occasionally answers questions on her official site, but other than that it doesn't hold a candle to this place. Official sites are invariably a tad stuffy and boring, so it was a good idea for them to link here. Not that the link was needed for people to find us--they will anyway, but still...

Sorry guys, I don't know the answer either.
I'm going to have to assume that they didn't want any kind of implied connection to this site. *shrug* Why such a thing would be bad from a PR point of view isn't exactly obvious to me, but whatever.
On an entirely different (and happier note)... This is the 4th anniversary of the original conception of the site, which started in October 2000 after I took my parents to the McCarter Theater concert (Princeton, NJ) for their anniversary (Oct 25). Then again, it didn't "go live" until 2/25/2001 (for the geeks in the audience... I was originally using the webserver hosting the site as a footrest). I guess it depends on whose perspective you take

I really enjoy this site as well, and reading all the great posts from you well-informed people! Thanks for creating it Kevin and happy anniversary!
And this site being removed from the offical site is no slight whatsoever, I'm sure it's because of the reasons moljul outlined so well.

Anyways- I think it's weird that they did remove us from their site. I mean, I go to official sites for bands and stuff, and some sites post the fansites up for people to see. And I totally agree w/ Karen. Oh well whatever.
